My oldest had a pot belly pig she'd take out on a leash. We used to have rabbits also.

Nice pic! The harness is far safer than an old-fashioned leash. There is evidence that the slight pressure exerted by these devices has a calming effect on the animal too. If the bunny is nervous during thunder storms, I'd be inclined to put the harness on to observe any behavior change. There are actually "thunder shirts" sold for dogs and cats just for that purpose.
