Well I will admit when I first saw the pic, I thought wow, TerryC, snake whisperer, then realized it was very dead. My concern would have been, they don't have litters of just one, so where are its brothers and sisters? I don't condemn folks for dispatching venomous snakes. I don't usually, but I will blast every copperhead I come across into the next world.

Most snakes I will leave most snakes alone or just move, rattlesnakes, coralsnakes, copperheads and cottonmouth water moccasins are the exceptions.

I know some people fear snakes to the point of hysteria. My sister is insane with fear when it comes to snakes. I never kill them if it's possible to remove & relocate. Whenever possible do not kill snakes as they are #1 in keeping nasty rodents under control. Lot's of big Diamond Backs here in Fl.
There are some big one in FL. For sure. When they get to big we eat them.
