A beautiful day in Eastern Iowa, and a great day to be out and about. The Oaks are now in full color and then it will be just plain bare trees, one needs to enjoy all the color while he can, These pictures don't do the trees justice. The stone buildings in this park were built by my Dad years ago when he was a contractor. Thanks for taking a look.

VanGone is that in Ellis Park? I used to live in CR before I moved to Neb.
Jim
Yes it is Jim,small world we live in isn't it! Ellis is a neat park. It doesn't get used much like it did when I was a kid. Its been a good metal detecting park over the years

Nice shots, VanGone--

Thank you for sharing... Have you ever detected in that park before?

Joel
Many many time Joel. My Brother and me use to hit that park really hard back in the early 70.s He got a Morgan silver Dollar a couple Barber coins and an Indian head out of one hole years ago in that park. I found my first silver dollar in that park. It still has some good coins in it,but you have to be going deep.
