Sun dog

There will always be one on the opposite side of the sun as well. Couldn’t look as I was driving home from work. Cause is refraction of ice crystals in upper atmosphere alwAys 22 degrees from the sun

I always wondered what a Sun Dog was,now I know.Big fan of Jack London,he mentions them several times in his books and stories.
