My last go-round was using a sourdough starter.
My loaf came out about 2 1/2 inches tall. L.o.l..

Way to go Terry, when I tried to do that years ago, we ended up using them for hockey pucks!

The crust was a little stiff but it's amazing what flour/salt/yeast and water can turn into. I think next time, a little hotter oven and less baking time to reduce the thickness of the crust. ╦╦C

You should try making an Olive Oil dip, my mom used to make this one dip for us to dip our french bread with olive oil, herbs, and garlic and it was THE BEST. Even if the crust was a little stiff it would still be amazing.
