Picked this up a few weeks ago.... I like how the image captures the whole valley with castle, water, sailboat and mountains. Not sure if the person in the foreground is in a boat or on land but it's like looking at the whole scene through their eyes....

This looks like a brown transferware scenic pattern with a "Florentine China" mark which has been attributed to Samuel Alcock, Staffordshire, England, c. 1830's-50's. Here's a similar mark from a red transferware plate:

Neat! So where did you get it, were you out metal detecting when you found it? If so I'd be back there, being that old I bet there are more goodies to be had!
