Nature Hike Today

Today the weather was ' beautiful', in the 70's, I drove up on a local mt & took a hike over to a 'hugh bluff' that dropped straight down, for probably 80 ft.
The 'Buzzards' were flying right over my head, I cautiously looked over the side,then hiked down & under to take these pic's.
The rocks had 'impressions' in them, but nothing I could recognize.
In the canyon about a mile away, early settlers found 'rock hearths', with smoke blackened rocks, so they named it 'Kitchen canyon', it is very close to 'The Runestone' State Park.

Believe it or not Steve, I was thinking about all the folks in the Cold & snow country today, but when we are 'sweltering' next summer, they will be better off (in the cooler climes) of the Northland. :-\

You're welcome Sore knees, I will pass on the 'grey days', we have had our share this winter, although no snow.
I took the Grandkids & their little 'Aunt' back today, we hiked down into the bottom of the bluffs, two buzzards were resting there & flew away, also we found a track of a half-grown mountain lion.
The kids explored, climbed into a small cave, & took pictures.
I promised to take them to some more places later, & when I left, the niece was viewing 'Treasure Net', (more little treasure hunters to be). ;D

That looks like a great place to hike fossis, those grandsons of mine would enjoy hiking there. I had to do a little Mall hiking today with the wife.
