If there are nearby people in residence, you might ask them....

They are probably keeping their eye on things, if not the owner.

Or, chip away along the roadside edge until you get someone's attention... and be prepared with a nice presentation!

The owner may never show up, other than the times of year when the property need attention.

Try the county courthouse and trace the owner...
