I've been busy, but still got a chance for a few shots.

We have been having some nasty storms almost daily. The rainbows have been pretty, but the flowers have taken a beating from the down pours. Poor sad sun floower.

I finally had my camera in hand when the humming bird landed for breakfast.

I had to include a shot of my Girl, yup she looks that happy all the time. I did get some disturbing news about her yesterday, she has been "exposed" to lyme disease. She is showing no symptoms so the vet thinks she will be fine with a heavy antibiotic treatment. Goodness gracious I hope so.

Good series of shots Kim, Rainbows have been elusive here this year but did get a series of them about two months ago, but forgot about posting. Ah, looks like a Cherry tree where you have the Hummingbird feeder. The hummers will shortly be in their pre-migration feeding frenzy, my former boss lives along a river and has about a half dozen feeders out along his deck, and this time of the year it is not unusual for him to have 15-25 hummers at one time at his feeders! Why? Maybe because he is along the river is my only thought, I have never had more than perhaps 5-6 at any one time.

Great shots. Love the color and sequence of shots. We have a humming bird we call Crazy Eddie. He drives the others away.

Close Don, it's a plum tree. I think that the humming birds have a specific schedule, the Hubby sees a couple at 5:30 am and i see the next batch around 7 am. So maybe we just don't see them all and have more than we think?

I think she will be just fine, she is taking her antibiotics like a good girl. Thanks Granny!

My Girl will get well, we love her to death. I just wish these thunder storms would stop for her sake, she's a chicken when it comes to thunder.

Yeah Micki is a happy girl alright (well....unless it's thundering ) maybe a little "too" healthy. My understanding is if she doesn't take the anti biotics and she is exposed again then there will be trouble. So a month of medication will be worth it. Kinda scared me for a second or two.

Great! I was afraid someone would ask about the purple flower. I have planted so many flowers.......I did make a map of my big garden, but these were a gift that I was proud grew as well as they did. If I had to give you something close......Larkspar, or feldspar? Arighty I've been hanging out here too much and I think they are both rocks? Any help? Normally the flower blooms at once and is on a stalk 12 to 18 inches long in blossom. Pretty!

Hummingbirds rock! I don't have enough zoom to get a good shot, but when I'm hanging the feeder, the birds are hovering right in my face.

I agree! Yeah I catch heck when I am taking the feeder down for a re-fill. Nose to beak!
