LoL!

Hanging around is right!

and I don't mean the bat!!

Those formations are spooky looking... reminds me of an alien movie.

What fun!

Thanks for posting the wonderful pics.

Re: Hangin' around the Caves

Very neat photos,, thanks for sharing,,,,
Looks like a lot of fun, although I don't ever feel right being in a cave,,, Even though most of them have been around for millions of years I always get the feeling, it's just my luck, it's time for them to cave in,,, ;D
Have a great day, Leon...

Re: Hangin' around the Caves

Hello, jean

Great pics. Facinating to look at with all the formations. In your #1 pic, on that line you are sliding on;
How thick is it? Also in the bottom pic in the first post, that little light spot. Is that looking at the ebtrance from way back in the cave? I have been in a couple caves in Kentucky and one in West virginia. It
is interesting to study the different changes in the walls and ceilings.

Thanks a bunch for filling my request for the cave pics. I apreciate that and enjoyed seeing them.

Re: Hangin' around the Caves

Thanks Folks.

karenray08, I was using 11mm static line vs. dynamic because it is abrasion resistant and does not stretch too much under payload (me/me and gear) ;D. The light you see in the back of the passage is an anomaly called an orb. Alot of folks taking photos can get dust motes, moisture, etc. on their lenses but it seems to be pretty easy to discern the difference between them. These orbs have very distinct patterns and tend to drain camera batteries. After the big one was seen going down the street in Santa Fe (without a camera) the show Ghost Hunters decided to do a special on them to see if they could discredit the existence. At the end of the research they decided that they were random energy balls (they kept having to replace batteries too) :icon_scratch: Myself, I catch too many of them in oddball situations to think they're very random. But that's just my personal opinion from personal experience.

Have a great day

Re: Hangin' around the Caves

Orbs, huh?

When I was takin' pictures out in the Nevada desert, we called 'em UFOs!

;D
