Just slice that burl off with a chainsaw... should get 3 or 4 1 1/2 slices out of it... let 'em dry out...
and make clocks out of 'em. The tree will probably do better, also.

BUT LOOK AT ALL THOSE ROCKS!

Somebody sure liked to stack rocks! WoW!

I heard people make bowls out of them too rmptr...if it wasn't so far into the woods I'd consider it...

Not sure how much they enjoyed stacking them...but yeah...there's a lot of 'em...

Farmers when they first homesteaded a place used to rid the fields of stones.
They would many times put them down the property line as did the neighbors.
The walls remain long after the homesteads are abandoned.

LoL!

Years back I got myself stranded broke out in the boonies...

A young college fellow had glorious plans of farming where it was known to fail, but he hired me to clear rocks from a field prior to sowing his crop.

Showed up at the crack of dawn and he had me walkin after a stoneboat carhood he pulled with his tractor.

I was a happy camper when he decided about noon that aspect of the project was pointless!

It got me down the road to find better work!
