Haven't read up on Nevada yet. Are there places around Laughlin to sluice and pan ? I have a cousin who lives in Laughlin. She says the weather is very mild there in winter. Might be a good place to make a winter camp. What do you think ? I'm currently headed south from Colorado and planning to spend a couple weeks in Prescott Arizona.

About 30 miles to the East South East are some mountains/hills where the largest silver strike in Az history was found.....There is also a great little town there (Oatman) that has lots of history to check out as well as old west shoot outs every day, wild burros roam the streets.....There are lots of old mining areas that are legal to hunt, just do NOT climb any fences or enter areas that are posted....The owners/miners take that very serious....:violent1:

Laughlin is also nice, I prefer it over Vegas, the casinos along the river have free water taxis, the buffetts are cheap....... I have a friend that lives in Bullhead City, directly across the river from Laughlin...I love the area......

If I am not mistaken it is the dry season there in Nov (most times it is the dry season anyway since it is a desert), don't know of any places you can pan unless it is dry panning, but there are lots of places you can detect. Lots of gullys and dry stream beds from flash floods to hunt.... A 4 wheeler is highly recommended, which you probably have..... Oatman is a great little tourist area, it still has the old mining flavor of the late 1800's and a lot of history......

November is a great time weather wise.... There is a 65 mile long lake just north of Laughlin called Lake Mohave...I dove off my friends pontoon boat and tried to dive to the bottom because it was so clear, I gave up after reaching about 15-20 foot, my friend was laughling at me when I surfaced and asked if I reached bottom, I told him no, he laughed, looked at his depth finder and said "I imagine not it's 42 foot here" I could see every rock on the bottom and every fish swimming between the boat and the bottom...

Lots of luck, I am a little jealous, your going and I can't.... :BangHead:
