I remember when my parents took me and my little sister to a local ball field when I was ten years old. We used an old detector that used like 12 AA batteries. We ended up finding a buffalo head nickel. From that point, I've always wanted to get my own detector. Now that I'm older, the idea of detecting a piece of history has sucked me back in. I love everything about MD'ing. From the historical research, aerial photos, to the actual field work. Every find, be it an old nail to clad, still bring the thrill of discovery.

It's awesome to see this activity still has a strong following.
