Newbie in New Mexico

Hello everyone,

My name is Dave and I just picked up my first metal detector. It is a Bounty Hunter SS II which I found a really nice deal on the other day. When I was much younger I had a cheapo metal detector while living in Florida. I never got into it as much as I wish I had considering where I lived (the middle of nowhere). After doing some reading and such I decided to try and pick up the hobby, and get myself outside more.

I'm looking forward to participating in the forums and getting more into the metal detecting community!
