New to the forum, but not metal detecting

Hello everyone,
I started detecting in Baltimore, MD, around 1979, looking mainly for coins. I still have my dinosaur White's 5000D metal detector, along with a newer Bounty Hunter. Searching areas like Druid Hill Park, Patterson Park and even Bocek Park resulted in early 1900's coins, usually Indian Head pennies, Buffalo nickels or Barber dimes. Occasionally I would find a Barber quarter or half, but unfortunately, not on a regular basis. Since moving to Hanover, Pa, my interest in detecting has returned, especially with all the history right in front of me, or just a short drive away. I'm looking forward to contributing to this forum Thank you
