Hi Guys, after spending hours here reseaching posts I thought a hi was in order. I am pretty new to detecting, I had a detector for a short while a few years back but due to lack of spare time I gave it up. Now I have loads of spare time I have been bitten by the detecting bug. I will be doing 90% of my detecting on the beach so I have decided on a Fisher CZ21. It was a close call between that and an Excalibur(how many times have you all heard that!)
This site is awesome, so many useful tips and information. Anyways I am looking forward to getting my new machine in a couple of days.
Best wishes from the UK.
Paul.

Welcome. I love your country and spent many summers there in the 80's and 90's. Good luck on your hunts. You might think about up some of the rivers too. Romans, Anglo Saxons, Vikings, Normans. Wow. So much to find, so little time. I'm jealous. Good luck, good hunting and have a pint for me...

Thanks, yes I already have a river in mind, it's a place I have fished for years and have never seen a detector so it could throw up something good. I will let you know how I get on! The UK is ok but if I had my time again
I would move to Alaska.
yep I will have a pint for you, and me too, haha
best wishes
paul.
