I would like to say hi to all and tell you I am a newbi who purchased a Minelab E-Trac and wanted to surround myself with experienced users. I sat around about a year before I started to use it.

I have no grand ideas of gold but relics and old coins would keep me happy. I live in an area that was rural even for colonial standards. But do have a early 1800's canal running across the road from me.

I originally though that meteorites would be the thing that would keep me busy but that idea was dashed by someone who does this avidly abd says I live in the wrong latitude for it. So it's coins and relics.

Didn't realize how much trash is buried in my back yard and how deep some of it is.

I live in Godeffroy NY and if anyone would like to hookup, drop a note

Welcome from White Plains, NY! :occasion14:

You can still find meteorites in New York, you just need a different machine. Multi-freq machines suck for meteorites. You need an All Metal VLF, or a PI machine.
