Hi. Everyone pretty new to metal detecting I currently have an ace 250. I like the ace and love detecting it's pretty addictive. I have a chance for a fisher f5. Would I be happy with the upgrade? Mostly hunt old home sites and parks for coins. New to forum so if I posted this in wrong place my apologies. Thanks

Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Welcome to Tnet.
Since you're already using a Garrett, I would suggest that you take a look at a few AT PRO videos. It is an excellent all purpose, all terrain machine.
I found the learning curve not to be difficult.

Welcome from Massachusetts!

The AT Pro may be a good option for your hunting needs! If money is no option and your serious about the hobby consider looking at mid to higher end machines other companies have to offer. As with most of us, we end up with many detectors from multiple manufactures; each for different purposes and needs (i.e. water, Gold prospecting, land...etc.).

Thank you all for the responses. I went ahead and got the F5. I read many good things about it and I kinda like the adjustment knobs.
