Thanks for the replies. I just found out how to read my own thread lol so my apologies for the late response. Still learning here. Still haven't been out to do any detecting. Really sucks cause I wanna get out there but don't know where to go. Seems like everything in the area is private land or a nature preserve in this area.

Thanks. I tried that the first day I got it and let's just say I think my back yard was a dump site haha. Talking to my grandfather and he told me of a school that was torn down when he was a child and is now and empty field with no traces of showing it used to be there so I'm gonna give it a try next weekend.
