First Timer - and my first find!

I am very much an amateur. I'm interested in starting hunts for things in spare time in the Bay Area, California, USA. Interested in native american things, or anything non-european. Not super interested in old United States artifacts but I wouldn't mind finding them. I might get a metal detector soon.

Hello and welcome from another Bay Area'er.

I'm pretty new to all this too, but would definitely be up for hunting some creeks and rivers. There are definitely a few I've become familiar with over the years, but previously the only treasure I had my eye out for were trout... the earth looks different now that Ive joined this forum.
