I think its a merc from the yard.

Hey Ralph, I have been detecting for a little over a year. I havent really done any research to find and old site yet. I found a few gold rings, 1911 V nickle, wheats, typical clad and lots of junk. Also a few watches and buttons from the 40s. I usually go to local parks and beaches. You have a great machine even if it does take a while to learn. Just keep digging and dont get discouraged, the good stuff will come. Im planning on going out Sunday August 5th. I lke to go out early. Send me a pm if you want to meet up somewhere. Steve
