About the embarrassing moment thread.

The moderators have decided to move the thread to the general discussion because it evidently doesn't fit in the Today's finds forum. Guess it got too popular. Kept popping to the top because one or two were interested. LOL

They're right of course, it truly isn't a "Today's Find". But, maybe, also, we ought to have a "Banner Forum" so that the ones who wish to pop up a find from way back before "Today", they could do so and it wouldn't interfere so much with all the finds of today being posted. ( L O L )

This is a one time post to give people who might actually wish to follow and add to the "Ever have an embarrassing moment...." thread, a link to where it currently sits.

I know, that most will figure it out but many are dumb like me and when it disappears from where I left it, I sometimes can't figure out where it went. LOL

I gotta tell ya, I don't think I have laughed so hard in all my life!
Thank you all for the embarrassingly funny stories! We've all done some stupid stuffs!

I once ran outta the screen room, while the Mr. was pressure cleaning our roof. His sprayed right over the door area as I was coming out, I lost my footing and did about 5 somersaults, down the front yard!
Perfect Olympic worthy rolls! I'm glad the Mr. was the only one seen that! LOL!

I did catch my neighbor, wagging her tail at her dog, one day! LOL!
She didn't know I was watching, cracked me up!(I told her a few days later, we laughed and laughed)!
Ya'll keep up the good works! Laughter is a very good thing!

Hi Jeff,

I know "I" can find the post.

The intent was for those who might not know how to find a post. My intention was to help those to find the thread IF they wanted to, I used the same word in the title that one might use to search for the thread, "embarrassing". That way, some, (like a good friend of mine who was reading those stories because he's laid up and can't go out, he called me to ask me "why that thread with all the stories that has been in the Today's Finds forums since around May, got deleted.") . LOL

Of course, I knew and pointed him the right direction. But, the confusion was because he didn't know what exactly to search for, (he was using "embarrassment"), but he didn't find it and called me. (ez way out. ) But, it really is very confusing to someone fairly new to the site to have a long standing thread just disappear.
I know, way back when I was new one of my threads got moved and I just thought it had gotten deleted. I was shocked! I didn't think I'd posted anything bad! LOL

There were many, many stories in that thread! Almost too many to read in one sitting. LOL So, when people had time, they'd read a bit and come back another day.
Especially when the weather turns foul and most of what we see in the forum is reruns.

I thought it added a little something of character to the site. General discussion is usually just a cemetery where posts go to die. LOL
More people see it in Today's finds because that's where the most people congregate to discuss finds and stories of the day.

These are just my impressions and please just treat them as such. No harm, no foul. At least not to me.

understood , But actually I don't know how it lasted in Todays finds as long as it did.
If I had noticed it back when I first replied I would have moved it then.
Todays finds is the one Forum I try to keep Pure.

General Discussion is the proper place for it & I personally don't think things die in there.

Just check how many are viewing the two forums at any given time.

So, now, since the forum is going to get pure. Then, once a banner post is off the front page, it won't be popped back to the top after the day is finished. Right? LOL

ONLY Today's Finds. LOL

No you misunderstand a todays find post from 10 years ago can be popped up to the top.
I would hope it isn't because it makes no sense other then to update, or for someone to be rude or childish
to do so,because I said that

. But if it belonged in Todays finds at one point, it Belongs in todays finds forever.
unless of course it graduates to Best of, honorable mention, or something I'm forgetting
at the moment.

that has been my opinion since day 1 as a Mod.
Nothing has changed on that.

Todays finds is Titled "Todays Finds"

Not "Todays Thoughts",
"Todays Posts",
Or "I want this on top So I will post it here"

I understand too. I was just trying give those poor people suffering from cabin fever, like I am, something to read rather than reruns. LOL

If I want a "Most Embarrassing" Forum, I need to go make/maintain and pay for one my own self. (dont hold your breath).

I started the post as just one more embarrassment in my life. Then, it took on it's own LIFE! LOL
