I think most of your buttons are probably late 18th century or very early 19th, but I don't believe any of those buckles are colonial. Thanks for posting ....

I agree with Bill. I believe I only saw one 19th c button and that one is still early on.

Terry a few indicators of the earlier buttons are as follows. Those big dandy buttons are always colonial. Normally last quarter of the 18th century. If you find any button that's pewter it's normally quite early as well. It gets a little trickier when you get into the smaller buttons. But there's some great references that will help with dating those buttons. Glad you posted in the new forum buddy. I care little about this forum being super busy but the quality of finds and ability to teach and learn is what will make this sub forum high quality and valuable.
