My Latest Acquisitions

[The Grim Reaper]

I bought a few things from some local guys in the past two weeks. Nothing really great, but some good solid pieces. I got 23 nice points which include a pretty nice black Knife, 3 decent Pentagonals, a couple nice Adenas, some nice Archaic points, and a few nice little Dart Point types. I also got some really nice Bone Beads, 14 in all, and a Shell Tube Bead that is a little over an inch long. The points are mostly local and the Bone Beads and the Shell Bead are from a site called the Troutman Site which was excavated back in the 30's.

Here's a few pictures. The last picture is a close up of the best Pentagonal.

I think it's a Dickson. After looking at it a little closer once I got it home it has a little fresh chipping on the base on one side. The blade is good. I scoped it and that are no new flakings on it, but I think someone retouched one side of the base.

Nice Buy. I love those beads. Alot of hunting went into that necklace. I am so tempted so show my ebay buy its hilaraious !! Good looking Rack !
