Well you're obviously looking in the right place. Out of curiosity, are your a rock hunting newbie or just new to the site?

Good luck,

Joe

looks like you might have found a camp and found where they're making arrowheads.

Good luck,

I posted a few times here this past spring (when I caught the fever). I knew absolutely nothing before then, and still have a ton to learn. This site is so informative (best on the internet in my opinion). So yes I am pretty new at all this. The field I found most (all but one) is a real hot spot and people walk the mile long field nearly every weekend. I am on the other side of the river from there and have been told there are alot on this side of the river too. I have been told that archeologists have walked these fields and found alot of arrowheads (they gained permission from my neighbor, whom told me about it and started my fascination). I probably wont hunt the field across the street till its tilled up again because there is too much corn debris. For now I will stick to the cleaner field where I have found pieces. I did find the smallest point, pictured above in an old garden spot in my back yard. With a known indian camp being about 300 yards from my house is there specific things I should do or look for in my yard?

Looks like you are off to a good start. Just a matter of time until you bag the killer points.
