I found this in a bag of potatoes I picked up at the grocery store. I'm not sure if it is a pecking stone, hammer stone, or what ever. I do, however, know its not a potato. Lol! Thought y'all might get a laugh out of this!

Got to be a prehistoric potatoe.. Probably at least 200 million years old...:laughing7:.. I actually have no idea what it is but it's a neat story anyway...

200,000,000 years is my thought as well. Maybe 200,000,001. Lol. Glad I didn't try to slice it.

Too cool! One unusual artifact recovery for sure. If you were charged for the taters by the pound, it ran your bill up-LOL!

In pic. #4 the beautiful hopewell Snyder's point is not a find of mine. It was found by the world renowned artifact hunter, and personal friend of mine, Mr. Twitch!! A note is folded behind it, so that I will not forget (as I'm growing old and senile) who found it.

BANNER!! Best post ever. ;-)

P.S. Since no one told me how, my version of voting for banner finds is going to be this very simple method of just simply posting "banner" on that thread. I will use caps, fonts, underlines and Smily faces to show extra enthusiasm in case you score extra for that. Lol...

P.S.S. - sorry, my sarcasm and humorous side are in full effect.

Funny thing, my sarcasm has been nearly off the charts for the last 24 hours as well. Sweet sweet sarcasm! Why are some offended by it, while ones such as ourselves define it as comedy, at its best? If you have the little smiley do-do pile emotion, like this💩, automatic banner!! A find that makes poop happy, and he looks happy, is banner!! Thanks for the vote. If you ever would like to see this find, the Smithsonian will have it soon!!

Hi NC Field Hunter

I see that you have some points in the back ground of this post. I would like to see some close up of those Carolina points, I am a Carolina points collector to. I am always interested in seeing what other carolina hunters have found. Post your display if you have one.
Thanks!

That's just too funny. A keeper for sure. Just for the story alone it deserves a place of high honor in your collection. Also, do I see a Clovis in about the fifth pic??

Actually, a couple of these were not found by me. I circled the two that are from different states.
