Native American Artifacts?

I've gotten so hyped up and having fun hunting for treasures that I may be seeing them where there aren't any 😜 Anyways I was just playing with the kids in the yard collecting rocks and once we dumped them out, my husband noticed that many of them had the same shape/form.... This might be a silly question but Could these be tools from a Native American tribe? Or are they just plain rocks?

Oh! I just thought I'd mention this in case it has any significance... Our front yard is mostly sand, and the driveway has gotten horrible from erosion after rain- it's a drop off that will cause the car to bottom out if you don't slow to a creep when driving over it- anyways while we were digging, the top layer of sand can me moved pretty easily, but there was an area where right underneath the top layer was a sort of clay-like shelf (which I didn't think to take a picture of at the time). I was just curious- what would be the quickest, cheapest way to find out more about the history of my location? I'm wondering if there was a lake/body of water... Possibly even ocean.. Where my house is located now (in Trenton South Carolina).

Sorry, but they are just rocks. You should find a museum in your area and look at artifacts there to train your eye for the real thing. Good luck and have fun!!

Aw man, haha. Thank you... It was fun while it lasted; I think I'll let the kids run with the idea for a while though

He's been collecting/studying for several decades and he's very eager to help someone that's seeking knowledge. I have family in South Carolina it's a nice place.
There's a lot of folks here with experience in the Carolinas many live there and hunt there they can help you u dont need too wait for one member.

I have some pottery that I found in Estill SC. It's right on the Savannah river. Gator is pretty good at explaining old water. He may be able to determine if you were ever below sea level. Reaper knows his artifacts, no doubt. However, if you are looking for an expert on the Carolinas, Jim Maus is the best person to contact. Google his name and you will find lots of info. He has always been really patient and helpful to me. I've contacted him on several occasions.

no one will ever expect you to have all the knowledge right away.....but i commend you for getting outdoors with your children and get them interested....
IMO to much computer time does not help a child......it is the outdoor time that is most valuable
