Really wish this guy was whole, but would still love to get some opinions on type. Shows some really heavy patina/ aging. Found in South Texas. Thank you for looking and all opinions.

I'll throw one more in here just so I don't flood the forum with posts. Not sure if this was a hammerstone that someone starting hitting flakes off, or if was used as a chopper. Does show some minor signs of impact fractures on the sharp end.

The back has been worn so flat it will stand on its own. On the worn end you can see the rough crystals emerging, but everywhere else around the rock is completely smooth other then the buisness end.

Any opinions would also be greatly appreciated.

Are the blade edges of the point smooth down by the base?
The other stone looks like a broken hammerstone to me

Well the first one does look old, Dalton or Paleo I cant say for sure which. The other one I am going to say what we find here and when I say we I mean not me yet :) It appears to be a poll end of a Celt that has been broken but reused as a grinder to me. They reused the broken ends of the Celts here in GA for Grinders.

My first guess would be Plainview. Congrats on what appears to be a fine paleo piece. Wish it showed the flaking better.
