You know it looks heat treated but so I'm gonna say no I'm getting archaic pieces off that site and transitional dalton and earlier off the other but I still found some woodland time frame pieces as well .

I was just curious of how to tell what period with a find like a drill , except for going by what was found in the same area.Like with most points, you can tell by the notching for example. So what tell-tail signs would you look for ln a drill to determine approx age?I see you mentioned heat treated.

Well most drills are sharpened down points so the base is a dead giveaway but not always heat treating as far as I know started after paleo but idk how true that is either so when it comes to drill it can be kinda difficult for me anyways ;)
