Scrapers or flakes?

I picked these two pieces up in a field where I have found points, scrapers and a knife in the past. I don't collect artifacts myself, but if I find any while metal detecting, I give them to a good friend that does. The material of the smaller one is chert, and I'm not sure of the material of the other. They both looked worked, but I don't know what, if anything they were used for. Thanks for your opinion.

Is there any micro flaking around the edges? Form what I can see in your pictures they both look like reduction flakes to me.

I think they are really nice reduction flakes. I love finding them myself because it means there's something really sweet made from them. It don't really matter if they were scrapers because they are awesome in themselves IMO. Great finds!

I agree reduction flakes some decent ones though ...I bet you find something real soon in that area... nice little bulb of percussion visible on the one that's slightly better material
