All of these artifacts are coming out of 10 , 55 gallon barrels of chert that was left behind and old boys place here in town , my hopes are that someone will eventually be able to help identify the tribe and possibly the general area , I am in Idaho , and I believe this stuff was gathered within a 500 mile radius from Boise , my ignorance in knowledge on this subject is tremendous , and I apologize for my incomplete description , I will try to do a little better with the pics and descrips ,

That looks like the bottom of a pottery vessel.. The bottoms tend to be a little thicker and stay together since they were one piece coils were laid on top to complete the rest of the vessel when being made
