Found no metal worth bringing back but did find a hole with broken white and brown pottery shards and hopefully animal bones and an arrowhead in it, what kind of arrowhead is this 20160519_182731.jpg

It is an artifact, sure.

It is not an 'arrowhead'.

Dunno's what kind it is but I love it. Arrowheads are always amazing finds in my book. Yours looks like a nice one.

I'd say it's a jasper knife. Nice find. Had one fall into my hand the other night when was diggin a deep target. Funny how the metal can work its way down past the artifacts

Looks like some kind of knife to me too, but it sure has certain characteristics of a Turkeytail. Nice find!

I was thinking Adena knife and its upside down.

I won't argue with that either. It wasn't like they followed a spec manual when making these things and regardless of what Mama or Daddy taught them, were many times apt to employ artistic license and make 'em like they wanted, so a point is liable to have a little of this type, or maybe a little of that type. Like this one that I found way back. I see characteristics of at least three different types here...

I say Adena due to it looks like the ones I find. Not sure if I have any Turkeytails or maybe this one isnt a Adena after all. Personal find of mine my best example.
