This was from the last hunt a few weeks ago and just got around to posting it. A broke Perkiomen with a ground base and a preform I believe. Haven't gotten out much at all been pretty busy, but this is the first perkiomen I've found.

I believe that is actually a clipped wing Susquehanna Broad point. There are the similarities, but this piece tells me susky...

Thanks guys. I can see the similarities between the two and both are found in this area. It really has a distinct shape My buddy found a whole one not far from this (20ish miles away) which had the same distinct edge to it except his base wasn't ground. The other one I believe it was a preform because of the other side. I should have taken more/better pictures.

Nice finds Captain . I was thinking Susquehanna on the larger point with tip gone as well. We pick up some Susquehanna's down here on the Delmarva, but I have yet to find a point that looks like a classic Perkiomen down here. Both of those broadspear types are probably from the same general time frame, and related some how. It seems IMO that the Susquehanna shaped points can be found over a larger area of the mid Atlantic and northeast, while the Perkiomens seem to be clustered into a tighter area in eastern and southeastern PA? Looks like a Susquehanna point to me as well. We have both Susquehanna and Perkiomen points in Ontario. My first point I ever found was a Perkiomen so they are near and dear to my heart. It's also one of the nicest points I've ever found. Wish I was home to post a pic.

These are my Perkiomen points. Please note though, the larger points in the bottom row are Lehighs, not Perkiomen points...not quite ready to have a separate frame for the Lehigh points, but, close!

Thanks for the pics Digger, Looking at some of your points in the top photo I see many similar bases and edges. I can't really tell, but are any of the bases in the top photo ground?
