I made it out yesterday for a few hours and had a pretty good day .... And the weather was perfect too.
I found this one first not sure of the material and I would love to know what kind of base it would have had.

I found this smaller one on the same beach the material looks similar just not as worn down. I have never found any with this shape before

Looks like a good day... That big triangle one is a beauty for sure... Is your other triangle one quartz, I've found a couple with small pink veins in them

I'm almost positive it's not Quartz it has a chert feel to it . When I first saw it I thought it was a piece of bone. The pics didn't turn out good when it's wet you can barely see the original flaking but it looks like it had been in the river for a really long time.

Thank you.... For the limited areas I have to hunt that's about as good as it gets which is fine by me

Limited is an understatement! Not much water hunting here, mostly field hunting and now farmers rarely turn ground over. DAMN NO TILL!!!!!!!

The triangle is a killer. Love that basal thinning strike on one side.

Anyone would call that a good day, Great finds:icon_thumright:The 2nd piece almost looks like a point that was worked down to a drill, just a guess. All great finds and you do have a good spot to hunt.:headbang:

Anybody have any guesses what type the one in the second set of pictures would be. Looks like a hope but they aren't found close to me. (Eastern shore , Maryland)
Monsterrack- I can deff see it looking like a drill base do you find any of them that thin? I have only ever found 1 drill and it was broke so I can't really compare to anything.

That is just beautiful! For some reason it reminds me of Fabrege Eggs. Love it!

Could it be a broken Jacks Reef Point? It's the first example I thought of when I saw it.

I like that big triangle to good eye on spotting that one. Your sand and gravel looks just like what we have here in my area. Wish I could hunt the river but they dont allow it just creeks on private property. You got some good ones, rock

Yea I think your right about the jacks reef .... A reef pentagonal also close in relation is a South Appalachian pentagonal so I guess it would fit into one of those .... The big triangle I'm not sure if it's a Levanna or a Susquehanna triangle really there's isn't much difference and they both date to the same time period.
