About a month ago I posted a few pictures of a salt water sea shell pendant and a couple deer toe bones (all surface finds) at a spot outside Ruidoso NM on private land where my father & I target shoot.

Well we finally ended up going back & only got to dig around for 30 min before getting rained out. We found a couple nice pottery peices and this interesting bone tool. The point of it is still very sharp, any ideas what it is or what it might have been used for?

It appears to be cut in half laterally or long ways

The bone you ask about does not look to have been cut in to that shape and the bone below the shell is either bison or cow toe bone. Cool finds
