I just got these from a collection out of Mo. and I really like them. One show's so much wear pattern on it , that it feels smooth as silk to the touch and has a super shine to it. If you want to know what wear pattern can look like, well this is it. These tools were used to dig dirt, hull out wood from a dugout are what ever they needed to do and they are all in great shape. When you see the polish on some of those hoes/spades, you realise how closely related flint and chert is to agate.

Knowing our soils up here, I can't imagine dirt so free of other rocks that they can survive long enough get polished at all.

I have often wondered how long some of the tools and points would be in use. From the looks of the last pic, I would say for a long time.
