West Central Ohio

Currently working on a project with the local museum and school on some local artifacts. Still learning and any help with age, type, or material would be greatly appreciated. I know some are celts and slate bannerstones but any extra information would be beneficial to the display. All are from around West central Ohio.

Cool relics, great to see some pieces of that quality from your area.

The first piece is a full groove axe, the style is called a Miami River Axe and is a pretty local type for parts of Southern and Western Ohio. They might be related to raised groove axes from the south, and trophy/barbed axes from other parts of Ohio and Michigan.
The second piece is pick or crescent bannerstone. There are very ornamental examples of the type, yours is one of the thicker examples with really typical battering around the hole.
The third piece could be a tie on wing bannerstone, or more likely an ornamental gorget of some type.
The fourth piece is a great looking early Archaic dovetail, probably Coshocton flint. A great piece, and a lot older than anything else you've got in the picture.
The fifth piece is a nice little celt, a pretty common form from the woodland period or later.
The last piece is an adze, a nice little piece of hardstone made of great material.

Thanks for the help, no I didnt find them but are donations to the museum. Some other pieces were donated in the early 1900s but never displayed until now. Thought I would put something together to show some local history
