This was given to me this morning. The finder passed away and the artifacts were divided among family. I somehow ended up with this. Happy to have it. Northern Maryland full groove. The groove on that axe is angled. Seems like the bit would be about 30 degrees off the handle. That may have been done for a specific reason. Nice gift to you!

Impact fracture on the bit. The break still left it sharp and looks as if it was still used like that.
