I got out for a couple of hours a few days ago. The water had receded (now back up!) and I found the white quartz point laying on the muddy riverbank a couple feet from the water. The gray/blue tip was a ways downriver in a location where I keep finding large broken tips. I'm not sure why these large pieces seem to be concentrated in one location. I've probably found 8 or 10 very large broken tips there in the past 6 months.

sorry about shading on the tip. Based on the thickness at the break, this is probably only 1/3 of the point.

Judging from the pic and your description I would bet your tip is part of a large knife of some form.

Some day you’ll find a whole one!

Your tip looks just like the one the lady arkie in FL found in the sink hole. So, it MUST be paleo and 14,500 yrs. old. Was there any mastodon manure with sticks nearby? You better contact her to confirm! HaHa! Gary
