An artifact that my grandfather stumbled upon a while back. I can't figure out why the image keeps uploading upside down.

it appears to me to be an adena period knife, with the tip rechipped.

this was found at the lake ray roberts damn there outside of sander texas?

it it were me, I would find the he present owners of the Jennie Hicks farm and search there. Should not be too difficult to locate. visit the local library and find a 1960 phone book, cross reference this address in the local GIS system.

Thank you! That's exactly why I posted this. I've been curious as to whether or not it was actually a spearhead or a knife. A scraper certainly makes sense.

Yes it was found on the damn laying on the surface. I would really like to go out there. That may just be my next project.

Nice looking artifact. I know with my Apple I Phone, I have to take the pictures with the phone sideways or lengthwise for them to post right on the forum.
