It looks like a piece of water tumbled quartzite, that took one sharp blow that sheared off that corner. Now whether that occurred in a river by a larger boulder, or occurred by someone using it to strike something, is anyone's guess.

I found it in the woods, the corner did take a nice hit

..does not appear to have been worked by human hands, therefore, not an artifact, just natural occuring..
