Material?

Rock - what material is the point made out of?

Years ago I went on a dove shoot near Cartersville, found a bunch of flakes, preforms and one good point and always wondered what it was

Ive heard of them dove hunts but its $50 a day per person. I thought about going just to look for points but the price just turns me off and I cant shoot birds at all. What part of GA are you in?

Nice going rock. I like the black point. I don't have too many black ones.

Thats mostly what I find but its probably a Coosa not worth a lot but has a lot of history in my area.

Not much for pay shoots anymore, I live just below the ATL but now I have family near Metter / Statesboro and get invited to some awesome shoots - LIKE TODAY! Back then one of the subcontractors I used a lot would hold shoots, the last one was on his land where he just built a house on a hill overlooking a river, the front yard was literally covered in chips and flakes. I would love to go back one day, but it has been 25 years.

Thanks for all of the kind remarks and likes. I havent found 1 of them divot stones in a while they all come off of one site. I have found around 15 of them now. I gave some nice ones to the owners a couple of years ago.
