Short history. Went back to the states for a month and did a little "artifact hunting" aka rambling about hoping something cool jumps out at me.

Found this rock in a west Missouri creek. I do believe it's just a rock but not sure. 20181216_224936.jpg 20181216_224952.jpg 20181216_225011.jpg

I also visited Wyoming where I found what I believe to be debitage and hopefully a scraper? I was definitely excited to find it. I'm no expert so I hope yall can confirm it for me. Thanks for looking.

That one from Missouri looks like it might have been a hammerstone judging by those flattened out looking areas.that Wyoming chopper is nice! What part of the state was that from?

Its from Sheridan county. Yeah I'm unsure about the Missouri rock. Just know it looked different than any other rock I saw that day. I thought it was an avocado.

The large gray piece, is that Spanish Diggings Quartzite? See page 210 of this old book:

My background is as an experimental knapper, working mostly with east coast quartzites. As such, my possibly skewed opinion: Looks like a tested piece that was then either rejected or set aside and forgotten. Send it to me and I will finish it into a point for you. (Joking!)

I'm not sure about Spanish diggings quartzite. Pretty sure it's an axe or scraper pretty sharp. Thx for the reply.
