The old age truck hit me hard. It seems that now that I am getting older, I cant walk as long as i used to be able. I used to walk sunup to sundown and find a bag full. Now I can only walk for 3 hours and I am tired.

so I took off work early and hit the fields. Not too many fields ready to hunt, and the farmers are fixing to start planting soon.

I thought this one was going to be nice. Walked up on it in an area I was not expecting to find anything.

This is a nice thumb scraper made of harrison county flint. Turned out to be one of the best finds of the day. Very well made.

Nice point, ground base. Good tip. One small ding on the one barb area.

Small broken point. I kept thinking I may walk up on some slate or an ax, maybe a thebes. I found a part of a gorget in this field a few years back.

I thought this one had potential.

Freshly washed. Not bad for a few hours.

What is the one with potential? A paleo base or just an odd break?

Age truck hits us all at different times. I was looking through some old insitus and in hand pictures and was really shocked at how young my hands looked 30 years ago.

The one with potential was a broken blade of some sort. See arrow in pic.

The old age truck is a reference to an 80's Far Side cartoon where a you dude gets hit by the "old Age truck' which instantly turn him old, and he has the tire tread on the back to show for it.

lessened learned. Old age sneaks up on you and then WHAM, hits you like a truck, and you feel it.

bummer, serious Big Time bummer dude

The neatest one, in my opinion, is in the lower right part of the washed picture. It's in the 4rth pic, an exhausted and worked down Paleo, the 5th pic has possibilities as a paleo also. It's beautiful, look at that give away bifurcated base.

Here are some close ups of the relics.

The thumb scraper, made of harrison county flint, classic shape, well made

Very thin, made of attica chert I think

Here you can see the relic profile showing how thin it is.

I was up in the air at first on whether the base was there or it was broke

Those are excellent field finds. And a good variety of types and materials (especially for a 3 hour walk). Beautiful thumb scraper. And I bet the “potential” produced an extra heart beat or two when you saw it.
I like that bifurcated base too. Would you consider that a Riced Lobed?

Nice finds!!!!!! Old age gets everyone there is only one other option and that is not the way to go. In my time in the service I have had to do several bug outs of 26 miles or farther. Now 4 miles in a creek is a killer day, but if I don't use it I will lose it.
