    Not too much red around mere. But it occurs in the East Texas Piney Woods as cobbles in the sand.

    The first artifact I found, a pestle. I didn’t know a thing about artifacts at the time and just thought it was a cool shaped rock. A friend who knew much about them informed me years later what is was. His information is what what got me started in this hobby. Its closer to purple, being a real deep red.
