    Yes Kevin it is. Called obsidian and it is a type of volcanic glass. Ranges in color from nearly clear to opaque black with other colors too,reds, green,banded. We also have a good amount of cherts and agates around here. Be safe Kevin

    The white thumb scraper you posted in the last batch is the very reason it got its name.
    That one needs to make the spring cover of "Thumb Scraper Illustrated"

    Thanks Tnmountains. It sure "fits the thumb". Wish I knew what material is,I find it fairly regularly.
