Dug This Up... Natural or Man Made?

Dug this up while excavating an area in central Missouri. It was in an area with lots of clay if that matters much.

Sure looks like a shallow stone bowl. Need to clean out depression and see if it has been smoothed at all,then you can tell more. Is that a fossil on bottom or just an imprint of a weed?Be on the lookout for points.

That rock is limestone. There is a good chance it is natural and a softer rock or fossil encased in the limestone eroded away and left the hole. Gary
