Went looking for artifacts yesterday morning and found this. 2021 is starting off as a decent year for me. Does anyone have any information on what kind of point it is or the material it is made out of? I’m not good at identification. It was found in Southwest Virginia.

More than likely, IMO, used as a knife (pretty thick). With the base broken like that, if it were ever hafted, there's no telling what point type it was.

Definitely worked by Native Americans. It looks like a preform or knife to me.
