1. We all admire the grain of old wood.
2. Yes tons of wood from previous explorations.
3. Yes they can! Just as long as they don't run out of wood.

And #4 As long as they can find donors of relics for all the "experts" to authenticate as period.

To their credit the show is funnier than 90% of the comedy shows on the air!

I will agree, I watch for the entertainment factor. TV now a day is pretty boring! Do you have a link to your dictionary? That could make for a good read.
They do find a lot of wood. For a carpenter, this is a dream show. Hand sawed, circular sawed, post and beam, chiseled, old wood, new wood... it's like being in a lumber yard!

When they do not find treasure at the end a chapter of history will be closed (I am sure there will be some people left who believe if they just dug 20 feet deeper or if the pit was 5 more feet to the left..)

Can you imagine the money they are making back thru tourism to the Country now. Would be interesting to see how many tourist have taken the Oak Island Tour since the show begin compared to the 4 years prior. I'm betting business has picked up a bunch there and the surrounding areas because of the show which is the only reason the Canadian Govt is willing to give them money. They know they will make more then that in return... They probably hope the brothers don't find any treasure as that would put an end to it all. They make money off the mystery just like the Loch Ness Monster Mystery...

Yes I agree with all of you and as I said they are muti- millionaires in their own right, but my orginal post was that the show and premise of the show is a hoax and joke and the longer it airs the farce continues . But take it to the bank viewers will tire of the show sooner rather than later and they will surely attempt some spin off show to change things up. These shows come and go , just look at the long list of Discovery and History Channel shows that are gone.
