A Group of Children gathers near the Lytle Store Co. huckster wagon circa 1900 - 1910 the wagon was a traveling general store that would make its way from Minersville to Buck run, and vicinity
I remember My mom telling me She used to ride on The Hukster Wagon
in the Valley View/Hegins area. Most likely Late 30's early 40's.
Only thing I remember was the "Rag Man" Up here.
He used to come down The Back ally.
I Don't even remember His Vehicle other then It was old & Covered with Junk
But Dad would Hand us a Rag to give him & He's give us a Penny or Something
What He did with old Dirty Rags, I Don't know Keep warm in the winter ?
In our shed, we had two foot pedaled grinding wheels used to sharpen scythes and other tools.
Each machine had a seat. My brother and I would have 'races' on the stationary machines when we were not sharpening tools. (vintage 1950-1952)
